HISTORY OF THE BUSINESS

The business was started in 1989 and was part of Sprint Intercom & Security Pty Ltd based in Sydney.  In 1992 the Brisbane branch commenced operations and in 1999 the Queensland branch of Sprint was acquired by Speed Intercom & Security Pty Ltd. 

The company supplies a wide range of products in the communications and security industry including audio and video intercoms (such as the Aiphone and Urmet systems), card based access control systems (such as Nidac Presco and CS Technologies access control equipment), PA systems from TOA and electric door strikes and magnetic locks from Padde, eff eff, Guardall and FSH.

Our office has a large product display area and our staff can demonstrate the operation of various intercom, access control and electric locking products.

LOCATION

The business is located at 3 Wren Street, Bowen Hills, approximately 10 minutes from the centre of the city and situated between Brisbane and the Airport.  This location enables Speed to service it's established customer base and provide ready access to transport services for city customers, the rest of Queensland, interstate and overseas.

Speed Intercom & Security Pty Ltd is an Australian owned company and was formed in 1999 to acquire the Queensland business previously operated by Sprint.  The company has a strong Balance Sheet and is committed to customer service and support.

Its objectives are to:
